Tina's workshop was a delicious feast
of music, creative expression, and
intimate sharing. The inner journey
helped me to find and express a
personal truth I have too long kept
silent. I laughed; I cried; and I took
encouragement from my sister
participants, and from Tina and the
safe space her workshop created.”

“
I was open to anything. As we begin to work
on the collage, I was just going through the
process in a rote-like manner. The more I
worked, the more energized I became.
Everything about my being shifted, and it
was like I was catapulted into the project.
The magazine pictures that had significance
began to jump out at me. A strange and
unexpected healing happened.”

Lectured on the intention of choosing spiritual persons or objects in creating an
altar and worship place, and how the mindful acts of choosing, placing, and then
taking time to visit an altar can enhance one’s life. Students create a group altar
with sacred objects they bring, and share the meaning of the objects and the
experience with one another. This lecture is part of an ongoing class entitled
Performing Biblical Characters: The Living Bible: Ritual and Relevance under
instructor Sam Gilliam, for Trinity University’s drama department.
