Tina's workshop was a delicious feast
of music, creative expression, and
intimate sharing. The inner journey
helped me to find and express a
personal truth I have too long kept
silent. I laughed; I cried; and I took
encouragement from my sister
participants, and from Tina and the
safe space her workshop created.”

“
I was open to anything. As we begin to work
on the collage, I was just going through the
process in a rote-like manner. The more I
worked, the more energized I became.
Everything about my being shifted, and it
was like I was catapulted into the project.
The magazine pictures that had significance
began to jump out at me. A strange and
unexpected healing happened.”

Exploring the Divine Feminine
Denman Estate Conference and Retreat Center*
8:30 am to 3 pm
We will celebrate the Divine Feminine through many forms: storytelling, a nature
walk, journaling, and group process. In the morning we will spend quiet time
experiencing walking meditation within nature, then journaling about the
experience. Later in the day we will go to a special spot in nature to share important
milestones we have achieved this past year (an important birth of an aspect of
ourselves, a strength we finally discovered was always there, a wisdom or other
spiritual gift, etc.) The sharing of important milestones in a group somehow marks
its importance; however, throughout the day, we will have the option of sharing our
experience verbally, or sharing it simply by our presence, allowing it to be savored
quietly within us. Please bring a lunch item to share, a notebook or journal, and
inspirational stories from your life or from women you admire. Cost: $85. Additional
$10 to receive 6-hour CEU certificate for LPCs, LMFTs, & social workers. Please
reserve your space for this special opportunity to feed an often neglected and so
necessary aspect of yourself. Contact Tina Karagulian for more information at
402.7101.

Crafting a Soul Collage
Gemini Ink
513 S. Presa • San Antonio, TX
8:30 am to 3:00 pm
We will listen to various music selections as we create collages from magazines,
which include found words, images, and/or images and words. We will journal
about our collage process and have the option to share our discoveries within the
group. Often times, slowing down the selection of word choices within a collage
process provides useful information to our inner emotional world, and then
journaling about it offers the freedom to continue that expression in a new way. No
writing experienced required. Please bring notebook for writing and a lunch item to
share with the group. Contact: Xelena González, Director, University Without Walls at
210.734.9673 or visit Gemini Ink.
Sundays: October 18, 2009—November 15, 2009
Feminine Divine
Facilitators: Pat Booker and Tina Karagulian
The Episcopal Church of Reconciliation, 8900 Starcrest, Albin classroom
9:15 am to 10:15 pm
Free
This class seeks to be a time of personal storytelling, in which we
explore the importance of a feminine presence and feminine language in
our spiritual journeys. As we share personal stories, sacred prayers, and
sacred literature, we will explore the extent to which the Feminine Divine
does—or, for some, perhaps does not—enhance our spiritual lives. We
invite participants to bring images, icons, and other objects for an altar
we will create at the beginning of each class; prayers for recitation are
welcome, too.
