conscious ways to identify and to access their own intuitive know-how, in order to make fulfilling life decisions that
move them forward. Understand the best ways to use your sensitivity, and not be overwhelmed by the information
you receive. Each week, we will discuss and integrate exercises from two chapters of the book

Workshop: Mandala Maker*☼
Facilitator: Tina Karagulian, LCSW
Description: Mandalas are Hindu and Buddhist symbolic diagrams used as a spiritual instrument of meditation.
The mandala represents the universe, and those who meditate on the mandala strive to experience a sense of
oneness with that universe. By mentally “entering” the mandala and “proceeding” toward its center, one may
experience disintegration and reintegration of self. Any circular form that resonates with you (such as a labyrinth)
can become your mandala. We will create two mandalas, one that releases emotions and memories and another
that represents peace and integration to you. We will do a guided meditation with each mandala. Please bring a
notebook for writing and any inspirational images or art media.

us. Through the world of poetry, one can claim those stories and reshape them in ways that create not only an
opening but a space for integration of self. We will spend time journaling, looking at our stories in new ways,
creating lines of poetry from that journaling, and have the option to recite our poetry aloud within the group.

Tina's workshop was a delicious feast
of music, creative expression, and
intimate sharing. The inner journey
helped me to find and express a
personal truth I have too long kept
silent. I laughed; I cried; and I took
encouragement from my sister
participants, and from Tina and the
safe space her workshop created.”

“
I was open to anything. As we begin to work
on the collage, I was just going through the
process in a rote-like manner. The more I
worked, the more energized I became.
Everything about my being shifted, and it
was like I was catapulted into the project.
The magazine pictures that had significance
begin to jump out at me. A strange and
unexpected healing happened.”
