2008 Workshops
Tina's workshop was a delicious feast
of music, creative expression, and
intimate sharing. The inner journey
helped me to find and express a
personal truth I have too long kept
silent. I laughed; I cried; and I took
encouragement from my sister
participants, and from Tina and the
safe space her workshop created
.

I was open to anything.  As we begin to work
on the collage, I was just going through the
process in a rote-like manner.  The more I
worked, the more energized I became.
Everything about my being shifted, and it
was like I was catapulted into the project.
The magazine pictures that had significance
began to jump out at me.  A strange and
unexpected healing happened.”

Exploring the Divine Feminine
Denman Estates*
8:30 am to 3 pm
We will celebrate the Divine Feminine through many forms: storytelling, a nature
walk, journaling, visualization, and group process. In the morning, we will share
stories of inspiration from our own lives and from women who have inspired us
along the way. We will spend quiet time walking in nature and later in the day we
will share important milestones we have achieved this past year (an important birth
of an aspect of ourselves, a strength we finally discovered was always there, a
wisdom or other spiritual gift, etc.) The sharing of  important milestones in a group
somehow marks its importance; throughout the day, we will have the option of
sharing our experience, or allow it to be savored quietly within us. Please bring a
lunch item to share, a notebook or journal, and inspirational stories from your life.
Cost: $85. Additional $10 to receive 6-hour CEU certificate for LPCs, LMFTs, &
social workers. Please reserve your space for this special opportunity to feed an
often neglected and so necessary aspect of yourself. Contact
Tina Karagulian for
more information at 402.7101.

We will listen to various music selections as we create collages from magazines: .
Found words, images, and/or images and words. We will journal about our collage
process and have the option to share our discoveries within the group. Often times,
slowing down the selection of word choices within a collage process provides
useful information to our inner emotional world, and then journaling about it offers
the freedom to continue that expression in a new way. No writing experienced
required. Please bring notebook for writing and a lunch item to share with the group.

Spend the Day with Your Ancestors
Denman Estates*
8:30 am to 3 pm
My deceased maternal grandmother, an Armenian Genocide survivor, has been
quite insistent in honoring my strengths and abilities, and in releasing the loss that
she passed on from her life. There are often experiences and emotions from our
ancestors that get stored within our DNA, within our cells and emotions that guide
and shape who we are. There are often ancestors that want to help us release our
burdens and honor our journey. In the morning, we will identify the specific
ancestors we would like to connect with and why, and do some writing exercises
and visualization to connect more deeply with them. In the afternoon, we each will
spend time in nature walking with those ancestors, then as a group we will doing
releasing exercises. We will allow for peaceful meditation and journaling time to
end our day. Please bring a lunch item to share, a notebook or journal, and ahead
of time, notice which ancestors are making their presence known to you. No writing
experienced required. Cost: $85. Additional $10 to receive 6-hour CEU certificate for
LPCs, LMFTs, & social workers. Please join me for a very special and
transformative day. Contact
Tina Karagulian for more information at 402.7101.

Tell Your Story through the Art of Poetry
Denman Estates*
8:30 am to 3 pm
At times, we carry untold stories of abandonment, inspiration, grief, hope, longing,
or a loved one’s story within us. Through the world of poetry, one can claim those
stories and reshape them in ways that create not only an opening but a space for
integration of self. We will spend the morning listening to music as we journal, then
create poetry from its pages. You have the option to recite your poetry aloud within
the group. In the afternoon, each of us will share a current favorite inspirational
song and its lyrics, and afterward we write create a group poem! Please bring a
lunch item to share, a notebook or journal, the CD or tape of your inspirational song,
and paper copies of its lyrics. No writing experienced required. Cost: $85. Additional
$10 to receive 6-hour CEU certificate for LPCs, LMFTs, & social workers. Please
