How many times have you been referred to as “too sensitive”? Intuitive sensitivity is an
ability to perceive information about a person or event or location, and that information
may not be apparent to those around you. Some people experience visual images
through dreams or during their waking state, some hear information about whether or not
a situation is dangerous, some people feel a gnawing feeling in the pit of their stomach
about a person or situation, and some just “know” something is the right thing to do
without any concrete information. We all have these intuitive gifts, at varying levels. We
can improve our awareness of these gifts and use them effectively in our interactions
with others and in fulfilling our life’s purpose on earth. Many times people with intuitive
sensitivity experience an overload of emotions that prevent them from being active in
their lives, so they avoid many life experiences. It is important to know whether the
overload is due to past triggers and experiences that must be healed or if there is
important information your spirit is guiding you. Many times it is a combination of the
two, and sifting that information out is crucial to understanding yourself better and in
living a fulfilling life. Unfortunately, many times sensitive persons will shut down or numb
themselves entirely, throwing out the baby with the bath water, in reaction to sensory
overload. It is important to be able to understand the messages your spirit gives you in
order to shine your light in the world.

Marcy Calhoun’s book
Are You Really Too Sensitive? is a wonderful and practical
guide to begin the process of reclaiming your spiritual gifts. Each chapter offers
information, exercises, and anecdotes to guide your self-discovery process. Some
topics we will cover include identifying the dominant intuitive gifts we use at this time,
how and when to set appropriate energetic or environmental boundaries, the difference
between judgmental or intuitive information, how to live with someone who is sensitive,
the types of food and their impact on your sensitivity, and fully loving others and yourself
without judgment. We will read on average two chapters a week over 8 weeks, so that
the information can be applied, integrated, then shared within the group setting. I am
very excited to facilitate this class with you, as you explore how wonderful and unique
you really are!

Wellness Center for 8 Tuesdays beginning September 2. The cost of this workshop is
$250, with an additional $10 for CEU certificate. 12 Continuing Education Hours are
