Tina Karagulian has over twenty years experience as an artist,
individual therapist, and facilitator of creative and healing
workshops. She has a Bachelor's degree in Clinical
Psychology from Tufts University, and a Masters Degree in
Social Work from Boston University.

For many years, Tina taught computer and UNIX operating
system classes at Motorola, Inc. and Advanced Micro Devices in
Austin and Seguin, Texas, and since 1998 has provided
workshops that promote creativity and self-awareness in
Mississippi, Virginia, and Texas.

In 1986 and 1991, Tina edited two issues of Side by Side, a
periodical devoted to equality for women within the Armenian
Apostolic Church, and facilitated an Armenian women's
conference in Tenafly, New Jersey in March of 1991.

Tina Karagulian created and edited Recipes from the Heart, a
book of recipes donated by Harcourt employees, and includes
inspirational quotes by
Ralph Ransom, author of Steps on the
Stairway. Profits from the sale support efforts of Home
Comforts, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to helping
the mentally ill establish and maintain their own homes.
Contact Patsy Cheyney at 210.222.8736 for more information
on the book and Home Comforts, Inc.

At the
Renovaré International Conference on Spiritual
Renewal in June 2009, Tina facilitated a prayer collage
workshop entitled
Visual Arts and the Jesus Way. An audio
recording of her talk is available that outlines the many prayers
that we collage for each of our life experiences.

Tina writes poetry and prayers to release emotions and to
celebrate the beauty she sees within life. One important theme
has been the effect of the Armenian Genocide on her ancestors
and on her own story. Her poems and her personal story
entitled
Lessons from the Ancestors are included in the
PeaceCENTER's 2008 book
Insights on the Journey: Trauma,
Healing, & Wholeness, An Anthology of Women's Writing,
edited by Maureen Leach, OSF.

Four of her prayers have been included in Morehouse
Publishing's 2009 anthology
Lifting Women's Voices: Prayers
to Change the World. Women of all ages include prayers on
issues of poverty, women's empowerment, and the power of
faith to bridge cultural and economic differences. All royalties
benefit the International Anglican Women’s Network and
Episcopal Relief and Development.

Tina's prayer entitled
My heart is Full is included in Sustaining
Abundant Life, a women's prayer and poetry project that
supports
Women and the Well House ministries in San
Antonio, Texas. For information on purchasing this book,
contact Lou Taylor of the
Diocese of West Texas at (210 or

Her current book project includes interviewing women from
various faith traditions about their life journeys, their daily
spiritual practices, and the inspiration they have received along
the way. Tina enjoys the expression of art, poetry, song, writing,
stories and prayer, and holds a space for others to discover
and to act on their spiritual gifts.

Feel free to visit her art gallery, counseling services, or contact
her to facilitate a presentation or retreat.
